Clouds and light
snow with a period of heavier snow. WNW wind around 5 mph.

Today was a great
day for Steelhead fishing despite the fact I lost far more
than I caught. Al made up for it by catching far more than
he lost. I also had my St Croix Steelhead Rod snap in half
when a nice Steelhead made a final run for freedom. The
place I bought it replaced it the very next day.
West wind around 10 mph. Air temp in the single digits rising
to the low 30s.
Water temp was 32.
It was tough early
on to find a spot to fish because of all the ice. Once I
did, I caught a fish right away. I caught another nice one
later on and it turned into a very nice day after starting
out very cold.
Early clouds then
bright sunshine. NW wind around 10 mph. Air temp in the
low 30s rising to the low 40s.
I fished for several
hours without anything to show for it. Then as I was getting
ready to leave empty handed, I decided to throw a homemade
spinner a few times. It paid off with the biggest Steelhead
I've ever caught.
Hot, Humid, Some
sunshine but mostly moderate to heavy rain.
Water temp ranged from 70 to 80
We started the trip
out catching a lot of small fish although Chris caught his
best Pike the first evening we were there. We had two days
of fishing in hot, sunny, humid weather and the rest of
it was in the pouring rain. It was worth it though because
once we figured them out, we caught a lot of nice fish.
