Today was a great
day for Steelhead fishing despite the fact I lost far more
than I caught. Al made up for it by catching far more than
he lost. I also had my St Croix Steelhead Rod snap in half
when a nice Steelhead made a final run for freedom. The
place I bought it replaced it the very next day.

It was tough early
on to find a spot to fish because of all the ice. Once I
did, I caught a fish right away. I caught another nice one
later on and it turned into a very nice day after starting
out very cold. Pictures From Today

I fished for several
hours without anything to show for it. Then as I was getting
ready to leave empty handed, I decided to throw a homemade
spinner a few times. It paid off with the biggest Steelhead
I've ever caught. Pictures From

to test the new lower unit. It was fine but there's still
one issue with the boat that needs to be resolved. the fish

This was by far the
worst fishing day I've ever had at LaSalle. I was the only
boat out there. Not sure what I was doing wrong but the
usual stuff would not work no matter what I tried.

We started the trip
out catching a lot of small fish although Chris caught his
best Pike the first evening we were there. We had two days
of fishing in hot, sunny, humid weather and the rest of
it was in the pouring rain. It was worth it though because
once we figured them out, we caught a lot of nice fish.
