The Praying Mantis on the bottom
of this Hummingbird feeder tried to grab the Hummingbird in
self-defense (or more likely in an attempt to catch a nice meal)
when it got too close. The Hummingbird flew away very quickly.
This was a very lucky photo. 9/2002
